Babanango Game Reserve

Babanango Game Reserve commissioned Chimp & Zee to help find a way for guests to safely cross the White Umfolozi River all through the year. This required us to design a 105m long suspension bridge from the top of a cliff on the north bank and build a 6m steel tower and staircase on the south bank to reduce the elevation difference.

Game Reserve Access

It was an exciting project for our team as one side was safe and easy to work at and the other side was in big game territory, and we had to keep an eye out for elephants and lions! We’re very happy with the end product, which adds an adventurous element to the Babanango game viewing experience.
